MY husband died from sleep apnea

by Monika

Perry, my husband and devoted father of our 5 young children, had severe sleep apnea - he was chaperoning a field trip and had his own private room.

He woke up too early, used the bathroom, and lay back down on hus bunk, with nothing to do.
He accidentally fell back asleep, and moments later, he was dead.

Our 10 year old son went in to wake him up, but Perry never did.

Classified as: "Sudden Death"

If any of you CPAP users have not had an echocardiogram, you better order one immediately - it could save your life. No matter how well you think your CPAP is working, you might have OSA-induced pulmonary hypertention while you sleep, causing an enlarged heart.

Save your life - use your CPAP every time you lie down, and get an echocardiogram.
